Nakano, Sumoto, Japan, reports the discovery by Koichi Itagaki (Teppo-cho, Yamagata, Japan) of a nova-like object (mag 10.7) on an unfiltered CCD frame (limiting magnitude 13.0) taken on Oct. 20.383 UT using a 180-mm-f.l. f/4.0 camera lens; a confirming image taken immediately thereafter yields the following position: R.A. = 18h10m28s.29, Decl. = -27d29'59".0 (equinox 2000.0). Itagaki has posted an image of the new variable at website URL http://www.k-itagaki.jp/sgr.jpg. The variable was designated TCP J18102829-2729590 when it was posted at the Central Bureau's TOCP webpage. Additional CCD magnitudes (unfiltered unless noted otherwise) for TCP J18102829-2729590, communicated by Nakano unless noted otherwise: 2016 Oct. 4.447 UT, [13.0 (Itagaki; 180-mm camera lens); 20.391, 10.5 (T.
