COMET P/2016 N5 = C/2000 O3 = C/2005 W4 = C/2011 E1 (SOHO)
     K. Battams, Naval Research Laboratory, reports that a bright(ish)
Kracht-group comet showed up in SOHO LASCO images.  M. Uchina suggested to
Battams that this was perhaps C/2000 O3 = C/2005 W4 = C/2011 E1 (cf. IAUCs
7479, 8634, 9201, 9203).  Working with Battams, Q.-c. Zhang made new
measures/reductions for the 2000, 2005, and 2016 observations, and Battams
did new measures/reductions for the 2011 observations.  The original
detections were by J. Shanklin (2000), B. Zhou (2005), R. Kracht (2011), and
W. Boonplod (2016).  Linkages were suggested by S. Hoenig and B. Marsden
(2005) and W. Boonplod (2016).  In the LASCO C2 and C3 images, the object
appears entirely stellar at all apparitions, reaching magnitude approximately
7 during the latest passage (largely in line with the previous assumed
passages), according to Battams.  Below are tabulated the first and last
observations from the 2016 apparition.  There are no known ground-based
observations of this presumed comet.

The newly reduced astrometry and the following linked orbital elements (from
182 observations spanning 2011 Mar. 9-2016 July 2; non-gravitational
parameters A1 = +0.00, A2 = +0.0015) by G. V. Williams appear on MPEC
2016-P77.
