Electronic Telegram No. 4237 Central Bureau for Astronomical Telegrams Mailing address: Hoffman Lab 209; Harvard University; 20 Oxford St.; Cambridge, MA 02138; U.S.A. e-mail: cbatiau@eps.harvard.edu (alternate cbat@iau.org) URL http://www.cbat.eps.harvard.edu/index.html Prepared using the Tamkin Foundation Computer Network COMET P/2016 A4 = P/2001 F1 (NEAT) Comet P/2001 F1 (cf. IAUC 7604) has been recovered via observations obtained by two groups at two different observatories, as follows (with recovery astrometry tabulated below). K. Sarneczky, Konkoly Observatory; and S. Kurti, Nove Zamky, Slovakia, reported their possible recovery on unfiltered CCD exposures taken by P. Szekely (University of Szeged, Hungary) with the 0.60-m Schmidt telescope at the Piszkesteto Station of Konkoly Observatory on Jan. 7.9 UT, with the head noted as being nearly stellar in appearance, with a very faint 15" tail toward p.a. 265 degrees in twelve stacked 150-s exposures. E. Schwab, Egelsbach, Germany, also reports a recovery of comet P/2001 F1 on CCD images obtained on Jan. 10.1 by P. Ruiz with a 1.0-m f/4.4 reflector at the European Space Agency's Optical Ground Station, Tenerife (with measurement assistance stated also by M. Micheli, D. Koschny, A. Knoefel, and M. Busch); the comet showed no coma, but there is a tail about 10" long in p.a. 270 deg. 2016 UT R.A. (2000) Decl. Mag.
