Electronic Telegram No. 4155 Central Bureau for Astronomical Telegrams Mailing address: Hoffman Lab 209; Harvard University; 20 Oxford St.; Cambridge, MA 02138; U.S.A. e-mail: cbatiau@eps.harvard.edu (alternate cbat@iau.org) URL http://www.cbat.eps.harvard.edu/index.html Prepared using the Tamkin Foundation Computer Network COMET P/2015 U1 = P/1999 V1 (CATALINA) Krisztian Sarneczky, Konkoly Observatory, reports his recovery of comet P/1999 V1 (cf. IAUC 7302, 7305, 7323) on unfiltered CCD exposures taken with the 0.60-m Schmidt telescope at the Piszkesteto Station of Konkoly Observatory (astrometry tabulated below). On Oct. 23.0 and 24.1 UT, the comet appeared to have a "fuzzy" head with no tail in four stacked 150-s exposures. He subsequently identified stellar pre-recovery images of the comet on Sept. 13.0 with the same telescope. The indicated correction to the prediction by G. V. Williams on MPC 84326 is Delta(T) = -0.74 day. 2015 UT R.A. (2000) Decl. Mag.
