Borisov reports the discovery of a comet on three CCD images obtained with the 30-cm f/1.5 astrograph of the MARGO observatory, Nauchnij, Russia (discovery observations tabulated below). The object showed a coma of diameter about 30" and a tail 40" long. 2014 UT R.A. (2000) Decl. Mag. Kugel, Banon, France, reported that unfiltered CCD images taken by C. Rinner and himself on Sept. 5.13 UT with a 0.4-m f/3 reflector (+ Atik 460ex camera) at the Observatoire Chante-Perdrix (Dauban) show a coma around 20" in diameter and a tail about 0'.6 long toward p.a. 290 degrees; Kugle has posted an image of the comet viewable via website URL http://tinyurl.com/lsttmho. The available astrometry, the following preliminary parabolic orbital elements, and an ephemeris appear on MPEC 2014-R64. The comet may be of short period.
