Sato, Tokyo, Japan, reports his recovery of comet P/2003 O3 (cf. IAUC 8174) on CCD images obtained with iTelescope equipment using luminance filters at Siding Spring (astrometry tabulated below). The observations on June 21 were made with a 0.43-m f/6.8 astrograph, showing a nearly stellar object with no tail in fourteen stacked 30-s exposures; the w-band magnitude was measured within a circular aperture of radius 3".9. The remaining observations were made with a 0.5-m f/6.8 astrograph; on July 8, a strongly condensed round coma 10" in diameter was noted, while on July 11, it again appeared nearly stellar. 2014 UT R.A. Nakano in the ICQ's 2014 Comet Handbook is Delta(T) = +0.04 day. Note that the comet was missed at its 2009 return to perihelion. The following linked orbital elements by G. V. Williams are from 253 observations spanning 2003 July 30-2014 July 11 (mean residual 0".6); additional orbital elements and an ephemeris appear on MPEC 2014-N76.
