Wainscoat reports the accidental recovery of comet P/2001 BB_50 (cf. IAUC 7601) on CCD images obtained with the Pan-STARRS 1.8-m Ritchey-Chretien telescope at Haleakala on May 17; the object appeared obviously cometary in the w-band exposures. From this, G. V. Williams was able to link their observations to P/2001 BB_50 and then found earlier confirming observations in the Minor Planet Center's archive from Mar. 1 obtained by A. Wulff (measured by J. Jahn) with the SATINO Remote Observatory's 0.60-m f/3.2 reflector at Haute Provence. Available astrometry: 2014 UT R.A. (2000) Decl. Mag.
