Waagen, AAVSO, reports the discovery of an outburst of the recurrent nova V745 Sco by Rod Stubbings (Tetoora Road, Vic., Australia) at visual mag 9.0 on Feb. 6.694 UT. Previous outbursts occurred in 1937 and 1989 (cf. IAUCs 4820, 4821, 4822). Stubbings reported that the variable was fainter than mag 13.0 on Feb. 5.696. The outburst has been confirmed by numerous CCD observers, as detailed in AAVSO Alert Notice 496. Visual magnitude estimates reported by A.
