This nova continued to brighten after discovery to about visual mag 4.5. Wolfgang Vollmann (Vienna, Austria) reports the following magnitudes for the nova from digital SLR-camera green images transformed to Johnson V: Aug 11.915 UT, [9.8; 14.817, 6.2; 15.811, 5.2; 15.903, 5.0. Simone Leonini, L. M. Tinjaca Ramirez, P. Rosi, and G. Guerrini (Siena, Italy) the following position for PNV J20233073+2046041 from an unfiltered CCD image taken on Aug. 15.958 UT with a 0.53-m f/8.7 reflector, when the nova was at red mag 5.7): R.A. = 20h23m30s.79 +/- 0".2, Decl. = +20d46'02".3 +/- 0".2 (equinox 2000.0).
