IAUC 7038, 7040) on images taken with the 0.60-m Schmidt telescope at the Piszkesteto Station of Konkoly Observatory on July 12.04 UT; a co-added image shows a 8" coma and a 15"-long tail in p.a. 270 deg. Sarneczky then identified pre-recovery images on unfiltered CCD exposures taken by Gabor Marschalko with the 0.60-m Schmidt telescope on July 8.04, the object appearing stellar, but the sky conditions were not good and the comet was involved a with star. The astrometry is tabulated below. 2013 UT R.A. (2000) Decl. Mag.
