Sato (Tokyo, Japan) reports his recovery of comet P/2003 U2 (cf. IAUC 8229) on CCD images obtained remotely with a 0.51-m f/6.8 astrograph of iTelescope.net located near Mayhill, NM, U.S.A., on May 18 and 19 (later identifying pre-recovery observations from images taken in poor conditions on May 8 (when the comet showed no obvious coma in four stacked 60-s exposures). On May 18, the comet was poorly condensed with a coma 10" in diameter and no obvious tail, the measurement being somewhat difficult due to its diffuseness, and the V-band magnitudes beings measured within a circular aperture of radius 8".2. On May 19, the comet was moderately condensed with a coma 12" to 15" in diameter. M. Masek (Liberec, Czech Republic) obtained images with a 0.3-m f/10 reflector at Malarque, Argentina, on May 23, noting a diffuse coma of diameter 5" and no tail. 2013 UT R.A. (2000) Decl. Mag.
