IAUCs 6287, 6288, 6292) on four 420-s CCD images obtained on Sept. 11 with a 1.5-m f/8 Ritchey-Chretien reflector at the Majdanak observatory in Uzbekistan; the comet showed a small coma of diameter 5". G. V. Williams subsequently identified observations obtained on Sept. 25 by T. H. Bressi with the Spacewatch 0.9-m reflector. 2012 UT R.A. (2000) Decl. Mag.
