SUPERNOVA 2012cu IN NGC 4772
     M. Ganeshalingam, S. B. Cenko, W. Li, A. V. Filippenko, J. M. Silverman,
and K. Clubb, Lick Observatory Supernova Survey, University of California,
Berkeley, report a detection of SN 2012cu on an image obtained on June 11.2
UT -- three days prior to the discovery reported on CBET 3146.  An optical
transient is clearly visible at mag 17.6 at the position of SN 2012cu on an
unfiltered KAIT CCD image.  A previous image of the field on May 24.3 shows
nothing at the supernova's position (limiting mag 17.8).
